By Surbiton HC
Surbiton HC is pleased to announce that young Australian talent Nye Roberts has signed for the club for the 2026/27 season.
Nye has already developed a strong hockey CV, joining from Club Junior in Spain and is currently part of the National Senior Performance Program (Australia A) in Australia. In the past few years he has competed at two Sultan of Johor Cups, a Junior World Cup and has won two Hockey One titles with Hockey Club Melbourne alongside playing at home club Altona HC.
Nye says, “I’m super keen to be joining the club, getting to play in an elite environment and surrounding myself with top level players and coaching staff. My aims are to help the club and team to be successful and to keep developing my game in one of the best places to do so.”
M1 Head Coach Barry Middleton is looking forward to seeing Nye play in SHC colours: "Nye is an exciting young player. He has exceptional basics and a great mentality which will add lots of quality and energy to our group. We believe he has the ability to play at the very top level and can’t wait to help him achieve this."
Welcome to Surbiton, Nye!
