Rising Star Tommy Austin Signs for Surbiton

Surbiton HC is delighted to announce that young Scottish star Tommy Austin has signed for the club as the M1 continue to strengthen following a successful season.
After making his senior debut for Scotland aged just 16, midfielder Tommy is an exciting young talent already making waves in the GB EDP programme. He has already cut his teeth at tournament level for Scotland having played in the Nations Cup and European Cup B Division, and was part of the victorious GB U21 side who won the Sultan of Johor Cup in autumn 2024.
M1 Head Coach Barry Middleton says, “Tommy is technically superb with a brilliant attitude, and I think his development will continue to accelerate while training and playing as part of our M1 group. I’m looking forward to supporting his development and I’m excited to see the impact he makes for us and at international level in the coming seasons.”
Tommy is looking forward to joining SHC, “I am really excited to join Surbiton and become part of a team with exceptional players and coaches involved. The club has an excellent set up and success behind it, which I am looking forward to building upon in the upcoming season. I can’t wait to get going!”
