L2 Lose Out to Strong Sevenoaks Side

On Saturday we played league leaders Sevenoaks at home.
With a strong warm up and good encouragement from our captain Ellie we started the first quarter with two shots on goals from Tasmin just going wide. It remained a stalemate and the quarter ended 0-0.
The next two quarters still saw no goals from either team but Surbiton had a strong amount of possession.
In the last quarter, Sevenoaks won a corner and made the most out of it with a goal. It was time for Surbiton to take the keeper off and we fought hard to the end but unfortunately lost 1-0 against a strong side.
We are fourth in the table with an away match against third placed Cambridge City next weekend.
