Ava Findlay Joins SHC for 26/27 Season
By Surbiton HC
Surbiton HC is delighted to announce that Scottish international Ava Findlay has signed for the Women’s 1s for the new season.
Ava joins from Durham University after playing a starring role in their qualification for the England Hockey Finals Weekend on their debut season in the Premier Division. Having previously played for the University of Edinburgh, she has represented Scotland through the junior ranks and made her senior debut in February 2025, also helping the team qualify for this summer’s World Cup for the first time in 24 years.
Ava says: “I’m excited to continue my hockey development at Surbiton, playing alongside many outstanding players. I look forward to helping the club continue to build on recent success in future seasons.”
W1 Head Coach Dave Becket is pleased to secure Ava’s signature for the new season: “Ava is an exciting addition to the team. We were impressed with her performances last season, which also saw her get a well deserved call up to the GB EDP squad. We look forward to seeing this continue in a Surbiton shirt.”
Welcome to Surbiton, Ava!
