Where Were The British …
… as Barry Davies could well have said at the end of this evening’s semi-final. But to look on the bright side of life, at least there was a crowd of some 300 – including colts, their parents, senior club members and ninja campers – around the barbecue outside and two clubhouse television screens in the dining hall and bar inside, all being filmed by Sky Sports News. And our very own Rob Moore scored a consolation goal for Team GB, although admittedly after the Sky cameras had left, for the Riverside Arena home crowd once more to display our British sense of humour to the watching world by chanting “you’re not singing any more” at the Dutch supporters. Despite the result, perhaps we can still persuade you to join us at Sugden Road once more on Friday and Saturday afternoons at 3.30pm to watch first Team GB Women and then Men go for bronze against New Zealand and Australia respectively and even stay on to watch the 8pm Women’s final between Argentina and the Netherlands on Friday and Men’s between Germany and the Netherlands on Saturday?
